2013 Summer School Information

Changes to CSCOPE
The Texas Education Service Center Curriculum Collaborative announced it would no longer make sample lessons a part of the CSCOPE curriculum system as of August 31, 2013. Lubbock ISD has not required teachers to use these lessons; they are merely a resource available for use at the teacher’s discretion. CSCOPE will continue to be used in Lubbock ISD as the delivery system for the state-mandated curriculum.

Summer Reading Challenge 2013
Summer Reading Challenge 2013 is here! To participate, Lubbock ISD students, faculty and staff will complete a reading log of books read over the summer. These logs will be turned in the the first week of school. Reading logs are available in LISD libraries and on-line at www.LubbockISD.org. Click here to learn more.

Back to school information for 2013 - 2014 can be found by clicking here. Personnel are available at every LISD campus to assist parents and facilitate the enrollment process. Families new to Lubbock should consult the attendance boundary zone maps on this website under the Parents pull-down menu. Check back often for updates.

Global Education Summer Camp Announced
The K12 Global Education Outreach Program at the International Cultural Center is hosting a summer camp for students entering grades 4 - 6 which is designed to foster cultural understanding. The camp will be June 3rd-5th at the Texas Tech International Cultural Center from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and the cost is $125. For more information, click here.

* Do Not walk through the parking lot
* Do Not pull into the teacher lot to drop children off
Front Drive:
* Pull forward as much as you can to help w/ traffic flow on Chicago
* Exit the lot as soon as your children get out of the car
Crosswalk:
* Students may only cross the street at designated crosswalks
* Please do not park on or block crosswalks
Mustang Club CriteriaGradepoint - 3.5 or higher in the six academic subjects receiving numerical grades and an "S" or "H" in all other areas are required.
Citizenship - "H"
Attendance - No more than 2 absences and 1 tardy during the six weeks.
